Ori is a ceramics studio based in Tbilisi, Georgia, founded and run by ceramic artist Medea Qoqiashvili. “Ori” means “two” in Georgian, reflecting the studio’s focus on both artistic expression and everyday function. Medea works in small batches, shaping each piece by hand and finishing it with carefully hand-painted details, echoing Georgia’s long tradition of red-clay pottery, richly patterned tableware and decorative ceramic vessels. Drawing on centuries of Georgian ceramic heritage, from bold geometric and floral motifs to time honoured firing techniques, she translates these influences into calm, contemporary forms designed to bring a sense of crafted history into daily life.
