Ann-Charlotte Ohlsson, a ceramic artists from Sweden, completed her studies at the School of Glass and Ceramics in Bornholm, Denmark, in 2000. In 2004, she returned to Bornholm, where she became involved with a group of ceramic artists who shared workshops and galleries. Her approach to ceramics includes techniques such as coil building, slab construction, pinching, and using basic molds made from cardboard or plaster. All of her creations are fired in a wood-burning kiln. The association operates a large kiln with two chambers—one for traditional glazes and the other for salt glazes—along with a smaller kiln for testing. The two-chamber kiln typically requires 25-30 hours of firing, while the smaller kiln takes 10-12 hours. Ann-Charlotte Ohlsson is passionate about exploring new forms and surfaces, constantly seeking fresh ideas in her work.
