A handcrafted alder Shaker box from Malax, Finland, using a traditional method in which thin, steam-bent wood is stitched together with spruce roots. It is well suited for storing small items and can also be used for food.
Made from Goat Willow / Alder bottom and a curly Birch lid.
The wood is treated with a gentle lineseed oil finish; a distinctive scent may be noticeable at first, but it naturally fades over time.
Due to it’ s nature, each piece is unique and may have slight variations in size and structure. The box gets a little bit darker and even more beautiful with age!
Dimensions around 135mm x 195mm
Not dishwasher safe!
For care, simply wipe the box with a damp cloth when needed.
