valerie_objects has the honour of working together with Brussels-based designer Laura Greindl of Atelier 365. While enjoying working with traditional wood joints, Greindl constructs wooden furniture without any nails or screws. Every joint is cut by hand, using chisels and a Japanese dozuki handsaw for precision. Where many designers try and often fail to create the perfectly simple design piece, Greindl seemingly easily succeeds. Her Solid Walnut Furniture collection for valerie_objects consists of four basic designs in walnut — a table, a stool and a bench in two sizes — which combine essentiality with timelessness. This is wood in its purest and humblest form.
